Foundation Support Fees

Northern Virginia Community Foundation charges a Foundation Support Fee on each of our component funds. Foundation Support Fees are a critical source of revenue for the operations of NVCF. They enable us to hire and maintain staff, provide donor education programs and other services to donors, and continue to serve the philanthropic needs of Northern Virginia. The schedule is subject to change from time to time by NVCF’s Board of Directors.

Our current schedule of Foundation Support Fees is as follows:

One-Time Set-Up Fee - $250
Foundation Support Fees on Endowment Funds (assessed quarterly in arrears)

Graduated Schedule
1% on balances up to $500,000
.75% on balances between $500,001 - $1,000,000
.5% on balances above $1,000,001

Foundation Support Fees on Short-Term (Pass Through) Funds (assessed quarterly in arrears)
1% on total balance

Foundation Support Fees on Corporate Scholarship Funds (assessed quarterly in arrears)
5% of value of disbursements
