The Community Foundation works with local donors to help meet the most critical needs of the region. We care deeply about our vulnerable neighbors, and we know that you care too. Our grants support programs addressing Poverty Relief, Child and Youth Development, Education, Health, Mental Health and Aging, and Military Personnel and Their Families. Should you have any questions about our work, or if you would like to open your own fund at the Community Foundation, please contact us. In collaboration with its Chin Family Charitable Fund, the Community Foundation will offer 15 grants of $1,000 each to individual public schools in Northern Virginia that implement a program or strategy to encourage better nutrition and/or activity among their student body during the 2012-2013 school year. Applications due May 30.
